For a month Sudan's internet has been cut and activists have been hounded, tortured and killed. Neighborhood organizations have been spreading the word that there will be a protest demanding a civilian government on June 30th, but no one knew how many would join or how violently the Rapid Support Forces would respond. Many people said a last prayer and left their homes yesterday prepared to die. Instead they were met by their neighbors in an incredible show of solidarity. There have been reports of 10 killed and many injured in the capital so far.
