It was a chance to give the agency and the company a connected set of images, that showed a reliable service provider, connecting their long history and known name with the work they do in and around the home.

When I photograph small businesses and industry in Massachusetts, I talk with the client about the message the want to tell with the photographs. A portrait gives the business a face; a wider view shows where the work happens; a close detail makes skill tangible. With Alvin Hollis they wanted photos that showed technical competence and being there when needed. Together, those photographs can serve different parts of a website while still feeling like they belong to the same company.

The 2026 assignment followed Townsend Energy’s acquisition of Alvin Hollis in 2025. That change provided a storyline for the assignment: an established local name entering a new chapter. The image library brings attention to the people, vehicles and familiar places that continue to make the business recognizable in the local community and as they grow beyond it.
