Executive Portraits and Candids from Annual Onsite

This remote-first tech company brings everyone together in person just once a year. It’s a great way to work, but it makes it harder to show how the team actually collaborates—and who’s behind the screens.

For their Boston gathering, we planned a full day of photography. I floated between meetings, pulling people out for quick portraits and documenting the real, candid conversations happening in the halls. By the end of the day, we’d created a cohesive set of 17 portraits and 10 candid images for their new website and hiring materials.

The biggest challenge: the event was hosted at WeWork Boston, which doesn’t allow portrait setups in common areas. To work around this, we rented a conference room, pushed the table aside, and turned it into a clean, flexible mini-studio just down the hall from where the real work was happening.
