Annual Report Photography for Trinity Church

Standing at the historic intersection of Wall Street and Broadway, Trinity Church is more than just a New York City landmark—it is a pillar of history, architecture, and tireless community service. With a legacy spanning centuries, the church remains a vibrant center for the arts and social outreach in the heart of Lower Manhattan.

I was recently commissioned to create a new collection of imagery for Trinity’s annual report and their various digital media platforms. Rather than traditional, static architectural shots, the creative brief called for a specific visual narrative: images that felt ethereal, cinematic, and alive. To achieve this, I leaned into the intentional use of motion blur and lens flare, capturing the “spirit” of the space as much as the physical structure itself.

This project is part of an ongoing and rewarding collaboration with Trinity. Over several assignments, I have documented everything from their wide-reaching community service programs to their world-class musical performances.

One of the highlights of this partnership was seeing my work featured in The New York Times. The photograph accompanied a piece titled ‘Messiah’ Inspires Hope, capturing the transcendent energy of Handel’s masterpiece being performed within the church’s storied walls.

Documenting an institution that balances such a deep historical weight with a modern, active mission is a unique challenge, and I am honored to help tell the story of Trinity Church through my lens.
